I saw this tag on Puput @ Sparkling Letters‘ blog last week and knew I had to do it because it seemed like so much fun and then I happened to be tagged by Michelle @ Book Adventures a little bit after that. What is the meaning of my name?

I’m going to do my first and middle name for this, Melissa Erin.

My first name is Greek and means bee or honey bee. Whenever I was old enough to be interested in my name’s origin I found out that it’s derived from Greek mythology and was the name of the nymph who cared for a young Zeus. There’s this whole myth involving honey and bees that I won’t go into but I love the origin of my first name.

My middle name is the anglicized form of a Gaelic name which, when I’ve searched the meaning, means peace but also is known as the poetic name for Ireland.

When I was little I actually remember not liking my name for some reason. I think it was because I met so many people with the same first name and it bothered me. Little me was weird that way 😂. But now I love it and think it was a pretty on point name for my parents to give me considering I grew up to be extremely interested in Greek mythology.

What is my Myer-Briggs personality type? (Link)

I took this such a long time ago but couldn’t remember my result beyond it confirming how much of an introvert I am. So, I took it again and got INFP-T also known as The Mediator.

It’s actually scary how accurately it describes me. Especially the “hermit mode” comment because I do tend to drift away from everything from time to time. Although, I think that comes with being an introvert. Apparently, I’m very passionate, optimistic, open-minded, seek harmony, and thrive off of creativity but tend to be on the reserved side. And apparently I tend to see myself as selfish when I can’t help someone as much as I want to, which I’ve found to be true. Some famous INFP-T‘s are William Shakespeare and J.R.R. Tolkien.

What is my Zodiac Sign?

I’m a Scorpio but to be honest I don’t much care for the whole zodiac thing anymore. There are a lot of preconceived notions about Scorpios and I could never relate to half the stuff I read about them. 😂

What is my Hogwarts House? (Link)

I’m definitely a Ravenclaw! Aside from this, I’ve taken the Pottermore quiz twice and before that I always said that was my house. 💙💙💙

What are my Learning Styles? (Link)

I have a read/write learning preference which I already knew before taking this, I learn best when I read notes or rewrite notes. I’ve also learned while being in school that I’m an auditory and kinesthetic learner as well because I tend to process information even better when I’m moving around and reciting it back to myself in addition to reading or writing it.

Am I Right or Left Brain Dominant? (Link) 

I am 62% right brained! I remember taking a similar quiz to this years ago and getting left brained but right brained definitely fits me.

Which Divergent Faction Do I Belong In? (Link)

I took the official quiz they had a while back and remember that I got Divergent with a high percentage of Erudite and Dauntless. I always said that I would end up being a transfer. But I’ll still take this because I’m curious. 😂

I got Erudite! Although, I still firmly believe I would end up transferring to Dauntless.

What Does My Birth Order Say About Me? (Link)

I’m the first born in my family with three little sisters. I’ve always read that firstborns are natural leaders but I’ve never found that to be true for me. I’m definitely the responsible and ambitious one though. 😂

  3. I love this tag! It’s sooo interesting learning more about people through these questions. Plus, I do love personality tests and quizzes so it makes it even more fun! 😀
    I don’t care much about the zodiac thing either, but a lot of my friends do so I’m kind of forced to know it! XD

  7. Hey, I’m a Ravenclaw too! Pretty much all the tests I took declared me as a Ravenclaw, though my second house would be Slytherin, which I just love, haha. I’m also a firstborn, though I’ve only got a younger brother… and I am definitely the responsible/ambitious one too.

    I like to joke that firstborns are the ‘test’ child, haha – my parents were definitely stricter with me than with my brother, and I attribute it to the fact that they were new parents then and just wanted everything to be ‘perfect’.

      I remember taking one test at one point and getting Slytherin, way back when. Although now I think my second house would be Hufflepuff.
      I can relate to that. My parents were definitely stricter with myself and my oldest younger sister (we’re close in age) than they are with my two youngest sisters. They get away with stuff I would have never gotten away with. 😂

      • What’s the age difference between you and your sisters? My brother is 8 years younger than me so technically I was an only child first before I’m a firstborn (apparently research says the first six years of your life really determines your characteristics). But for sure – my bro gets away with SO MUCH STUFF and I actually think he’s got a better relationship with our parents because of that. 😂

      • My oldest younger sister and I are nearly 3 years a part. So, I actually have very little memories of being an only child. And then my two younger sisters are 7 and 9 years younger than me. I think having a little sister close to my age kind of mixed up the firstborn “rules” because she is definitely more of the leader and more assertive than me.
        Same! Lucky younger siblings. 😂

      • Oooh, that actually makes sense. I actually don’t have that many memories as well being an only child but I suspect that’s just because my memory’s pretty bad, haha. I’ve always wanted a brother though so I guess that kind of defined my life after he came along. 😛

  9. Oh thanks so much for the tag Melissa, this sounds like such a lot of fun to take part in and I can’t wait to get started myself. 😀
    I know my Hogwarts house, I actually got Hufflepuff and when I told my friend a few days later she literally said; “well yeah, I could have told you that” so I guess my Hogwarts house wasn’t really much of a surprise, and a few of the other questions on here but I’ve never looked up my Myer-Briggs personality type or the others like that. 🙂
    Also I’m first-born as well but I think the natural leader aspect fits my sister better than me (my younger sister) I tend to be the kind of person to go along with other people to the point of being a little bit of a pushover!
    It was great reading all your answers for this tag Melissa, I can’t wait to see what ones I get, thanks again for the tag! 😀 ❤

      I feel like the Hogwarts house quiz question is one on this that most of us already know the answer too. I’ve always claimed I was Ravenclaw but when I first took the Pottermore quiz I remember being so worried I wouldn’t get Ravenclaw. I was actually really nervous 😂. The Myer-Briggs personality one is really interesting! It asks a lot of those agree or disagree questions.
      Same! I think my oldest younger sister is more the leader (or most assertive) than I am. It makes me wonder if it’s because we’re closer in age so we were younger at the same time and now older at the same time. I think I’m more of the laid back person who is fine to let other people take the lead.

      • I always love taking part in quizzes like these as well. It’s always interesting seeing what you end up with.
        I feel like everyone knows their Hogwarts house by now. One of my friends is Ravenclaw and I think she was the same as well when she first took the Pottermore quiz.It sounds interesting, and I’ve heard lots of people talk about the Myer-Briggs one recently as well.
        Who knows, I think in my case my sister just has a very dominant personality. When we were younger I learnt it was easier to get out of her way than get in her way.

      • Definitely! Especially when the result is really unexpected. I remember I used to be addicted to taking online quizzes and would do them anytime I was bored. 😂
        I feel like it’s because it’s a scary accurate quiz. It asks these random questions and somehow gets (at least for me) your personality nearly spot on.
        My sister is the same way lol. 😊

  12. I find this pretty funny because I’m a Virgo and Virgo’s and Scorpio’s get along great. I know you guys get a lot of crap which isn’t cool lol. Then the fact that you’re the Mediator…omg these are the types of friends I need because you all make me look at positives when I’m swimming in negatives lol. I’m also a Ravenclaw so heeeeyyyyyyy!!!!!! I love the meaning of your names btw! so cute ❤

  13. Wow.. interesting tag! Where do you go to take the test to see what personality type you are? I think I took that test too, back in high school but I too, can’t remember much. Also, how do you re-take the test at pottermore? I tried but I couldn’t find the link. I am also Ravenclaw 🙂 Gosh how do you remember your blood type.. I need to look this up at my next annual visit haha.. I like the meaning of your name. Greek Mythology is so cool. I was so into it in high school! Thanks for tagging me Melissa 🙂

    • The links for each of the quizzes is besides the questions. 😁 It’s in the little (Link) area. For the Hogwarts one the quiz they have isn’t actually the Pottermore one but a random one from the internet. I took the Pottermore quiz a second time way back when because I made a second account when I thought I lost my first one. 😂 But yay for fellow Ravenclaws!!
      I’m not sure how I remember it. My mom told me once when I was little and ever since then I haven’t forgotten it lol.
