Blog Tour/Guest Post From Jillian Quinn: Best New Adult Book Boyfriends

guestpostimage

For my last post for the Corrupt Me blog tour, I’ll be sharing with you guys a guest post from Jill about her favorite new adult book boyfriends. If you haven’t yet check out my review for Corrupt Me and if it piques your interest be sure to add Jill’s book to your TBR or purchase a copy. 💕

Ahh…book boyfriends. How much do we all love it when we find that perfect man in our favorite novel?

I had the ideal man in my head when I wrote Luca Marchese’s character in Corrupt Me. I’ve had a lot of readers tell me that Luca is their new book boyfriend, which makes me happy because that means I’ve done my job as a writer. Luca is a bad boy with a soft side and not your typical Mafia prince. But bad boys are not one size fits all and make for the best book boyfriends. They come in all different shapes, sizes, and flavors. It’s the bad boys that get the blood pumping and the juices flowing.

Today, I’d like to share some of my favorite book boyfriends.

The Off-Campus Series by Elle Kennedy

Garrett, Logan, and Dean are college hockey players who are dead sexy with the mouths and the moves to match these smoking hot covers. I read The Deal, The Mistake, and The Score years ago and I’m still fangirling so hard over this series. The Score is all about Dean and he is my favorite of the three. The final book in the series came out in September, but I haven’t had a chance to read it, but knowing Elle, I’m sure it’s just as wonderful. If you like hockey romances with cocky athletes that will make you wish they were real, then check out this series.

Daemon Black – Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

luxseries

I discovered the Lux series after reading a lot of blog reviews. The weekend I was editing Corrupt Me to send to my editor I finally decided to buy Obsidian, and I could not put the book down. Daemon Black is not your average bad boy. He’s an alien who reminded me of a young Superman without the cape. There’s a rough and ruggedness about Daemon that I found so incredibly sexy and intriguing. I read the first three books in one weekend because I couldn’t get enough of his character.

Blake Crawford – Smut by Karina Halle

29381926

Blake Crawford from Smut is hands-down one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. He’s hot, British, has a dirty mouth, and he can write. Need I say more? In the book, Blake and Amanda are forced to write together for their writing class, and the enemies to lovers trope is by far one of my favorites in new adult books. Oh, and there is steamy hot library sex that you don’t want to miss. This book is a must read for all lovers of romantic comedies.

Vicious – Vicious by L.J. Shen

My latest obsession is Vicious. His real name is Baron, so I was thankful his nickname is Vicious. And boy does that name fit this bad boy. Oh my God is he fine. But he is such an asshole, which is why the name of his group of friends from high school is called the Hotholes. Just that name alone had me curious about this book, and once I opened it, I could not stop reading. His jerk personality is so addicting. LJ Shen is a newish author to me. She writes book crack. I suggest you get them now while they’re still on Kindle Unlimited.

Well, that’s the end of my list. Thank you for having me on your blog. I hope everyone enjoyed this guest post.

  1. Great post, Jill! I haven’t read any of these books/series, unbelievably. But I have every intention to! I’ve wanted to read The Deal and Obsidian forever now. I keep seeing Smut pop up everywhere… I’ll have to get to that one too!

  2. Great post Jill. The only series I’ve actually read that you featured is Obsidian and honestly I read it so long ago now that I can’t really remember what happened (other than a really really basic overview). I’ve been feeling the need to re-read it someday. I just have a few other books on my to-read list I need to get to first. 🙂
Also I do have Smut on my to-read list, and hopefully that’s one I will get to soon. I think it was a post on Melissa’s blog that introduced me to this book (I can’t remember for sure) but it sounded really good and your comments have just made me want to pick it up even more! 😀

    • Yes! You should definitely read Smut, Beth. It’s such a great funny and light read. Plus, of course, there’s Blake Crawford and I am with Jill on him being an all time favorite of mine.
Also, it’s been a really long time since I read Obsidian too. I’m thinking I might have to throw a reread of it in this year. 😊

      • In that case I’ll be sure to move it up my to-read list so I can get around to it that little bit sooner! 😀
Ahh, are you having trouble remembering what happened in Obsidian as well then? I have so many books on my to-re-read list I don’t know if I’ll get around to this series this year as well as all the others! 🙂

      • Yeah a bit. I think I remember more from the last book rather than the beginning of the series. I reread the last one at some point last year I think just because I was missing the characters lol.
I’ve already done a bit too much rereading this year. I’ve apparently thrown my not rereading a lot out the window. Mainly it’s been books in series that have the next books being released soon. 😂

      • I think it’s probably the same for me in a way. I can remember most from the last book but also from the first book because it was the one that kicked everything off. It’s all the ones in the middle that are blurring in my mind a little at the moment.
That’s a good thing to do though. I have a few books I need to re-read in preparation for the next one being released. Re-read is never a bad thing, or something you can do too much of in my opinion! 😀

      • I don’t think it’s a bad thing I just think I let myself get distracted by rereading while I’m reading other books too often 😂. Like with Gilded Cage, which I finished a few days ago and loved, it took me longer than I thought to read it because I reread a few books while reading it lol. I also wish GR would add a reread feature for our reading goals. 🙈

      • I can only really read one book at a time. If I try reading more than that, even just for a book I’ve re-read time and time again, I’ll get the events and characters confused in my head.
Either way I agree that Goodreads needs a re-read feature, and the ability to rate in half stars as well! 😀

      • I can never read two books at the same time that are both books I haven’t read but for some reason if it’s one book I’ve already read and one I haven’t it works. I feel like rereads are mindless reads for me, if that makes sense.
It really does! The whole reason I never do half stars is mainly because GR doesn’t let you.

      • Actually that’s kind of how it works for me, mainly because at one point or another I’ve always picked up a book I’ve read before and gotten halfway through it before picking up something else. So I guess you could say I’m always re-reading something.
I never do them either but there are some books I’ve reviewed I definitely would have given half stars to if I could.

  3. Awww New Adult romance is kind of my guilty pleasure hahaha 😛 I love The Off Campus series, all four of them (you both should definitely read the last though) but my favorite is The Deal and The Mistake ❤ I haven't read Smut but omggg I love hate to love romance so I'll be checking it out! And of course I'll also check out Corrupt Me 😀

    • New Adult romance is addicting, isn’t it? lol
Everyone has been recommending The Off Campus books to me. I really need to read them already. Hopefully sometime this year if I get the chance. And you should so read Smut, Puput!! Trust me that book is hilarious and such a light read. It got me out of a terrible reading slump last year. And yeah the hate to love trope is one of my favorites too. I think you’ll love it. I think you’d really enjoy Corrupt Me too. It’s pretty good and I loved it. 😁
