Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event/post hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that someone is eagerly anticipating!

This week I’m spotlighting The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Ever since I read Ari & Dante I’ve wanted to pick up another book by this author and this one, in particular, sounds like it is going to be amazing. I can’t wait!

23447923Release Date: March 7th, 2017

Genre: YA, Contemporary

Goodreads Synopsis:

From the multi-award-winning author of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe comes a gorgeous new story about love, identity, and families lost and found.

Sal used to know his place with his adoptive gay father, their loving Mexican-American family, and his best friend, Samantha. But it’s senior year, and suddenly Sal is throwing punches, questioning everything, and realizing he no longer knows himself. If Sal’s not who he thought he was, who is he? This humor-infused, warmly humane look at universal questions of belonging is a triumph.

    • Same! I actually sent the publisher an ARC request because I want to read it so bad but a week later and no response :(. I definitely just requested in on Edelweiss too though. I’ve never used my account on there before but who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky. 😂
I hope you get approved for it! It looks like it’s going to be a great read. 😊

    • I’ve noticed more people haven’t read it than have lol. Which is completely understandable given the state of all of our TBRs 🙈. It really is a fantastic book though and this one definitely seems like it’s going to be great! 😊

  2. Oh my god when I saw this book was by Benjamin Alire Saenz I actually thought it was the sequel to Ari and Dante and that a cover and blurb had actually been released. Then I realised it wasn’t so it’s back to waiting for more information on that release! 🙂

    • The first time I saw this I thought the same and freaked out too 😂. I can’t wait until more information on that one is released!
Right? I’m so glad he is releasing something new and I can’t wait to be able to get my hands on it. I’m going to be keeping my eyes peeled on NetGalley for an eARC. Thank you!! 😊
