“Tale As Old As Time” – A popular theme, trope or setting you will never get bored of reading.

I’m admittedly addicted to books where the romantic interest is the cliche “bad boy”. I feel like I’ve read so many books with that type of character in it, I love it.

Belle – A book you bought for it’s beautiful cover that’s just as beautiful inside too

giphy6

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

It was definitely a cover buy for me and a hype buy. I kept hearing so much about it and the cover is beautiful! Turns out the book is beautiful too. It’s one of my favorites!

Beast – A book you didn’t expect much from but pleasantly surprised you

giphy7

Stronger Than You Know by Jolene Perry! Which I believe is an extremely underrated book. It was an impulse buy that I hadn’t heard anything about, and it turned out to be pretty incredible. Seriously, if you haven’t read it you so should.

Gaston – A book everyone loves that you don’t

giphy8

My answer to this is always All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

Lefou – A loyal sidekick you can’t help but love more than their counter part.

giphy9

Lucien from ACOTAR! I love him and I don’t like Tamlin so… He is actually my favorite character, or he was in the first book. We didn’t see enough of him in ACOMAF for me to have really thought about it then.

Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumier & Cogsworth – A book that helped you through a difficult time or that taught you something valuable

I think every book I read teaches me something, but there is this one book that I always feel really taught me something about life, grief, and coincidence and that book is Left Drowning by Jessica Park. It’s one of those books that I’m eternally grateful for having stumbled upon. It really is an incredible book.

“Something There” – A book or a series that you weren’t into at first but picked up towards the end.

tumblr_mgkxdvjinm1rhh7jyo1_500

I can’t think of one for this. Usually, if I can’t get into a series within the first book I don’t finish it. I lack the patient to read a series if I can’t initially get into it.

“Be Our Guest” – A fictional character you’d love to have over for dinner

giphy12

Magnus from the Shadowhunters’ books! Can you imagine a dinner with him? It would be amazing and he could make any food you want appear.

  1. Thank you so much for this tag! I’m a massive fan of Beauty and the Beast as well! After Alice in Wonderland it is my favourite Disney film! I need to re-watch it again soon as well!
I love reading your answers! I am a massive fan of Lucian over Tamlin, especially in the second book because all he was doing was following his High Lord but you could tell he didn’t agree with Tamlin’s decisions! Also I would LOVE to have Magnus Bane over for sooner, he is my favourite character from the books and the TV show!
Thanks again for the tag! 😀

    • You’re welcome! I can’t wait to see your answers. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did. 😄

Also, I love Alice in Wonderland too! I’m always in a four way tie between that one, Beauty and the Beast, Aristocats, and Lion King. 🙈

Yes! That was probably Lucien’s only fault, his loyalty. He’s known Tamlin forever and in a way he’s like a brother to him so even though he doesn’t agree he follows. Not to mention, like you said, the fact that it is his High Lord and he’s required to follow his orders. I can’t wait to see whatever Sarah J. Maas has in store for him in the next book.

Magnus is my favorite too! 😊

      • I’m sure I will 🙂 although I have quite a few tags in my queue still so it may take me a little while to get around to this one.
Ohh, the Lion King is another of my favourites, I liked the Aristocats as well, and The Fox and the Hound (though it always, even now, makes me cry like a baby!) Just all the classic Disney films pretty much! 🙂
I think as well after finding out who his mate is things are going to get interesting between Lucian and Tamlin, and even Lucian and Feyre in the next book. I think he’s got to be close to rebellion at some point, and he obviously doesn’t trust Feyre’s interntions at the end of the second book. I’m so excited for the next in this series!
Do you watch the Shadowhunters TV show? I really love that at the moment! 😀

      • I get that, I’m behind on so many tags myself. 😂

Yes! The classic Disney films are the best. I need to have a Disney film marathon sometime because it’s been so long since I’ve watched most of them.

Definitely! I can’t wait to see how that whole dynamic works out. With all that Sarah J. Maas has revealed about how the whole mates thing works I can imagine Lucien isn’t going to want to go with Tamlin’s plan or really have a lot of patience. I’m really hoping it works out for Lucien in the end, though, because I feel like he deserves it to work out. I’m really excited for it too! 😄

Yes! I love it! I was a bit put off by some of the differences at first but as a whole I enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next season.

      • God I definitely need to do the same, it’s been so long since I watched any, even my favourites!
Everything could change with the third book, I really like Lucian’s character so I hope he does do something to seperate from Tamlin and redeem himself a little. I’m really excited to see where everything goes now Feyre’s sisters are immortal and everything that happens with them.
I think you’ve just got to think of it as different from the books, it’s what I do with Game of Thrones because that’s very different from the books!

      • I’m really excited about that too! Especially considering her sister’s complete aversions to the Fae. I still think it’s completely messed up that they were forced into it, but I’m hoping that everything turns out good in the end for them.

True! I always try to separate a book from an adaptation. Sometimes it’s hard when it’s a series you really love. I had a hard time with it at first but I think what they’ve done with the show, thus far, has been amazing. 😊

      • Oh there’s so many places it can go because both her sisters are so different! Also I wonder if how they were turned into Fae will change what kind they are as well! Oh definitely messed up, but I did not see it coming at all!
Yeah it can be hard, but it takes different things for a TV show to succeed than a book, and vise versa. Besides no matter what they can’t please everyone can they? 🙂

      • Exactly and same! I also can’t wait to see how the whole Lucien and Elain aspect plays out. And that gets me wondering about Cassian and Nesta. (Technically it’s never stated that they are mates but that dynamic would be interesting.) I didn’t see it coming either! It was the ultimate jaw drop moment. Although, I knew the queens we’re up to something from the beginning lol.

Exactly! It would be impossible to make everyone happy.

        Liked by 1 person

      • Oh yes, and I know what you mean I can totally see there being something between Cassian and Nesta as well, I feel like it was hinted at in the previous book.
I didn’t realise they were up to something at all, I assumed they weren’t to be trusted but I didn’t think they’d do something like that!

        Liked by 1 person

      • I feel like it was too! I think the only reason I had a feeling they were up to something was how they had all the evidence they needed, but still it wasn’t good enough. And the fact that they freely used powers that only the Fae have. I knew for sure when they got the other half of the book and the note talked about how the absent queen wasn’t sick.

        Liked by 1 person

      • I knew they were a little reluctant to help I just assumed it was because of the fact that they didn’t trust or like the Fae in general. Even despite the powers they showed and had.
Oh yeah I knew something was up then too, but even so I could never have guessed what they were actually going to do!

        Liked by 1 person

      • True. I never could have either. I knew they were up to something, but I didn’t think it had anything to do with them becoming Fae. Though I had a feeling it had to have something to do with the king. I was really shocked by Tamlin’s role though. I couldn’t believe how much he crossed the line.

      • I hear that a lot, about the first book not being as good as the rest of the series. Which has me kind of worried because I’m one of those no patience readers that needs to like the first book in a series to continue it 🙈. But I’ve heard so many great things about it in general that I’d probably try to push past it. Lol I had someone tell me to definitely wait for the last book because they didn’t and how the most recent one ended is making the wait for the last one torture.

        Liked by 1 person

      • See I heard a lot of negative things about the first book so my expectations were really low and I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Maybe it will be the same case with you then!
I feel that way with a lot of series, not just this one, but I do agree with whoever told you that. The wait is unbearable at the moment! 🙂

      • I hope so! Especially because I really enjoy Sarah J. Maas’ writing. She’s one of my top favorites on writing style alone because her writing is so descriptive and really pulls you in. That was my top favorite thing about ACOTAR and ACOMAF. Those two made me want to read more of her stuff. 😊
