Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event/post hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that someone is eagerly anticipating!
This week I’m spotlighting Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi! I loved her series Shatter Me so much and her writing in it was incredible so of course the second I heard she was writing something else I was like “I’m reading it!”, but the synopsis really sold the deal. It sounds so interesting and I can’t wait until it is released!
Release Date: August 30th, 2016
Genre: YA, Middle Grade, Fantasy
Synopsis(source):
There are only three things that matter to twelve-year-old Alice Alexis Queensmeadow: Mother, who wouldn’t miss her; magic and color, which seem to elude her; and Father, who always loved her. The day Father disappears from Ferenwood he takes nothing but a ruler with him. But it’s been almost three years since then, and Alice is determined to find him. She loves her father even more than she loves adventure, and she’s about to embark on one to find the other.
But bringing Father home is no small matter. In order to find him she’ll have to travel through the mythical, dangerous land of Furthermore, where down can be up, paper is alive, and left can be both right and very, very wrong. Her only companion is a boy named Oliver whose own magical ability is based in lies and deceit—and with a liar by her side in land where nothing is as it seems, it will take all of Alice’s wits (and every limb she’s got) to find Father and return home to Ferenwood in one piece. On her quest to find Father Alice must first find herself—and hold fast to the magic of love in the face of loss.
You can pre-order it on: Amazon, B&N, iBooks, Google Play, Book Depository, and Kobo
Sorry, I’ve been a bit MIA lately. School has been crazy! I’ll definitely be on more once I turn in this final paper next week though. 😊
What books are you excited for!?
If you do Waiting on Wednesday link me to your post so I can see. 😄

This sounds really good. I just added it to Goodreads. A few people have mentioned this book, but I haven’t seen much on it. I bought Shatter Me when it was on sale a few weeks ago but still need to read it.

I haven’t seen much about it either. I saw one ARC review a while back though and it made me want to read it even more. The Shatter Me series is really good! I hope you enjoy it whenever you get the chance to read it. 😄

I think not seeing it everywhere makes me want to read it more. The Shatter Me Series is on my list to read by the end of the year. I’ve head good things. I have this odd habit of starting more than one series at a time and not finishing them, so I’m making it a point to do that and hopefully move on to the rest of my Kindle and shelves. Thank you!

I have that same habit! I have so many series I need to finish too. One day I’ll get them all finished haha.

I’m definitely intrigued by this one. The last time I read Middle Grade it was Percy Jackson, this looks like it should be good. I’m in luuuuurv with that cover though lol. On my TBR, thank you 😊💕

I think that’s the last time I read Middle Grade too! Even though I never finished the Percy Jackson books 🙈. So it’ll be different for sure, but I’m thinking it’s going to be a great book. 😊
I know right!? The cover is gorgeous! 😍

I finished the first Percy Jackson series but didn’t continue with the spin offs. I think this one will be good, it sure is generating tons of buzz so here’s to hoping 😊💕

I read the first three books but never finished it. I did spoil how it all ends for myself though which might be why I never finished it 🙈. Same! I can’t wait to read it. 😊

I’m probably one of the few people who read/enjoyed Mafi’s debut YA trilogy, and yet is not interested in this book at all! It’s just not for me, which is okay. 😀 I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it!
Have a fabulous week. 🙂
Check out my WoW post!

I completely understand that! Everyone has different taste in books. I’m a little skeptical over the middle grade aspect myself, but I loved her writing so much that I have to give it a read.
I love your WoW by the way! Melissa Landers is amazing! I haven’t read that series yet but I love her Alienated series. 😊
